Spotlight Initiative 2.0 UN Joint Programme for the Promotion of Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment

The United Nations (UN) in Zambia is calling for voluntary membership to the Civil Society National Reference Group for Spotlight Initiative 2.0 UN Joint Programme for the Promotion of Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment: Toward the Elimination of Gender-based Violence in Zambia.

Under the overall leadership of RCO, UNFPA Zambia is lead technical agency for the Spotlight Initiative in Zambia, IOM, UNDP and UNESCO are also participating UN agencies. The programme will be implemented in collaboration with The Government of the Republic of Zambia with support from the Embassy of Ireland.

The Spotlight Initiative—the world's largest partnership to end violence against women and girls is launching a new comprehensive programme aimed at ending violence against women and girls in Lusaka, Chinsali, Isoka, Chipangali and Katete Districts.
